role: conceptual page design (2007)
The Encyclopedia of Life is an unprecedented global effort to document all 1.8 million named species of animals, plants, and other forms of life on Earth. This effort was accelerated by the involvement of renowned biologist Edward O. Wilson at the March 2007 Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) Conference where his 'wish' of creating the Encyclopedia of Life was awarded the TED Prize. Avenue A | Razorfish took on the conceptual design of the website, its promotional video, and the design of the temporary website pro-bono; assembling a team of 7 designers to complete the task in 3 weeks.
